Plate Cleaning Blast Machines
The machines are typically designed to clean plate from about 500mm up to 6m or more in width. The machines feed longer lengths of plate through this width using driven roller conveyors. The plate is typically blasted from both sides.
The machines usually have two to eight blasting wheels focused on the top and bottom of the parts to be cleaned. The machines allow fast production rates and an even finish on parts that cannot be achieved through manual methods.
Plate blasting for fabrication and coating preparation
Plate cleaning machines remove mill scale, rust and surface contamination from steel plate before cutting, welding, priming or painting. Blasting both sides in a single pass gives a consistent surface across the full plate, ready for coating.
Machines can be supplied as stand-alone units or as part of a larger line, with roller conveyors, shot recovery, dust collection and blow-off to remove residual media. The number of wheels and the conveyor speed are sized to your plate widths and required throughput.
